Fred Writes About

The Short List What Fred thinks about sport's most pressing questions

  • Favorite Athletes

Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Reggie Miller, Michael Strahan, Kenyon Martin, Tiki Barber (before he bad mouthed the Giants), Michael Strehan, Antonio Pierce, Chris Paul, Patrick Ewing, Latrell Sprewell (before the family feeding fiasco) and Jason Kidd (just to name a few).

  • Favorite Sports Teams

New York Knicks, New York Yankees, New Jersey Nets, New Jersey Devils (but I'm not a big hockey guy), and the New York Football Giants.

  • All Time Sports Moment

My New York Giants defeating the Patriots to win the Super Bowl!!!!

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Probably the most unmemorable for Jets fans. I got free tickets to a Jets game and went because it was well...FREE. And I guess I was bad luck since Chad Pennington AND his backup were injured the same game. Woops.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

That's tough...I don't know about records, but a team in the NBA has YET to come back in a postseason series after trailing 3-0.

  • Ruth or Mays?

I can't decide. Both were amazing.

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Montana

  • Jordan or Russell?

Both had an impact in their respective eras that nobody could duplicate.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    gretzkey

  • Pele or Maradona?

    Pele'

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Federer

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    Tiger
