Fred's Bio

My name is Fred Richani and I hope to be a sports writer in the very near future. I am 19 years old, currently attending Brookdale Community College where I major in Communications Media/Journalism, while residing in Freehold, NJ. I am originally from North Jersey, so I have strong ties with most New York-New Jersey area teams. Nets, Knicks (except the way they are now), Yankees, Devils, but the team closest to my heart...The New York Football Giants. Contrary to what you may think, I am absolutely not a front runner and yes, I shed a tear or two when they won their third Super Bowl title. I am also a huge pro wrestling fan, so don't be hatin'!

What I'd like to accomplish on this site isn't just gaining popularity from everybody here, but the entire sports world. I believe I have the gift of being able to write well, whether it's songs, articles, essays, etc. I want to utilize that gift to the fullest, along with my humor. I also moonlight in retail, comedy, and deejaying , while attempting to gain exposure as a songwriter/producer. I'm doing a little bit of everything these days, but sports writing is my main passion. I hope you enjoy the my articles and get to know the man they call The F-Bomb. If you want to know more or just say what's up, shoot me an email or add me on facebook (search: FRED RICHANI).

Probably the most unmemorable for Jets fans. I got free tickets to a Jets game and went because it was well...FREE. And I guess I was bad luck since Chad Pennington AND his backup were injured the same game. Woops.

Most Unbreakable Sports Record

That's tough...I don't know about records, but a team in the NBA has YET to come back in a postseason series after trailing 3-0.

  1. i cannot believe Brand left for the Sixers. maybe sterling knew it was going to happen and that is why he actually gave money to Baron. anyways, i wrote an article on sean williams, check it out.

  2. ya, born in NYC, grew up in LI

  3. Fred,

I played at Princeton. After four Jersey winters I had to get somewhere warm to thaw out for awhile...and it's about 115 degrees in Laughlin today, so think I'm on the right track. Some of us weren't cut out for the East Coast, apparently.

Thanks again for sharing your work, and keep the good stuff coming.

    Best,

    Ryan

  4. I have an eye for talent. And after reading that piece about CM Punk, it was obvious that you got a talent that everyone needs to see. Congratulations on having your article be the second one on the Top Story front page.

  5. Thanks for the add, F-Bomb!

    (May I call you F?) ;)

  6. I love to see any OSU alumni succeed, keep up the good work

  7. devin harris will be an all star next year. I kind of like the trade more that I thought it over because with Harris being a much better scorer than kidd, they might of had trouble with ball distribution with vc and rj, and harris. at least yi has a much different style of play than vc. i'm just worried where the defense will be coming from.

  8. Thanks Fred. You're absolutely right about Alonzo... i couldn't believe what he was saying back then. And yes, Latrell would have been PERFECT for this article! i missed that one. Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it.

  9. my bad man. I think I messed you up with my second edit in paragraph 7.

  10. how'd you embed the hoopshype chart in the article?

  11. Thanks for the add Fred! I appreciate your honesty on the Giants article...I know how hard that is to do when it's your team...keep writing!

  12. Thanks, man. Earlier in the season, I figured I'd play nice and be a "Chicago fan," as they like to call it out here. But I just cannot stand the Cubs, and I hope they fall flat on their faces. Good luck out in New York with the Yanks; I'm still hoping against hope that I can make it to a game there before it closes.

  13. thanks for the pick fred i was hoping somebody got it.

  14. Thanks for the pick Fred! I seem to be garnering much sympathy for being a Lions fan. You must catch hell for your Nets/Knicks allegiance! Them New York/Jersey fans can be unforgiving. Again, thanks for the pick.
