Fred's Bio

Fred Richani is a comedic, yet passionate sports writer and most importantly, a die hard sports fan. Football, Basketball, and Pro Wrestling are his first loves, although dabbling in the world of baseball and other athletics is never out of the question for the man they call F-Bomb. Fred is currently a student at Brookdale College in New Jersey, hoping to transfer to THE Rutgers University at the end of 2009.

The F-Bomb's favorite teams include the New York Yankees, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks (despite their terrible management as of 2008), and of course, his beloved New York Giants. What does the Freehold, NJ native look to a accomplish on Bleacher Report?

"I want to give the internet and world a taste of a man that will one day be your favorite sports writer's favorite sports writer. I promise to write article that not only make you laugh or angry, but ones that most importantly, ENGAGE THE READER. Call me a blogger, but I call my work thought-provoking, analytical, and engaging. However, that is for the readers to decide."

On his time away from Bleacher Report, Fred moonlights as a DJ, songwriter, and producer for DEF BOMB ENTERTAINMENT (DEFBOMB.COM) , enjoys long walks on the beach, and works in the dreaded world of retail at an undisclosed location. He also is a contrubting writer on basketball site LAYUPDRILL.com and has been featured on Pro Wrestling Torch (PWTORCH.com).

Probably the most unmemorable for Jets fans. I got free tickets to a Jets game and went because it was well...FREE. And I guess I was bad luck since Chad Pennington AND his backup were injured the same game. Woops.

Most Unbreakable Sports Record

That's tough...I don't know about records, but a team in the NBA has YET to come back in a postseason series after trailing 3-0.

I can't decide. Both were amazing.

  1. no problem bro, excellent article on the hawks a knicks fans huh? i'm a raptors fan so we in the same division but still it's nothing but love though haha hopefully gallinari will be great i guess it's a matter of time

  2. Thanks for the pick of the day bud! I'm glad to see people paying attention to a topic not as appealing as "Which team will Brett Favre play for (Part 283749)". haha thanks again.

  3. Hey Fred - thanks for the Pick of the Day vote. I appreciate it and hope to join you in illuminating the finer side of the sports world - or at least write some meaningful things about it.

  4. Thank YOU Fred—you've made quite an impression since signing up. Thanks for being such an active contributor...keep the great stuff coming!

    Glad you're having fun!

    Z

  5. i cannot believe Brand left for the Sixers. maybe sterling knew it was going to happen and that is why he actually gave money to Baron. anyways, i wrote an article on sean williams, check it out.

  6. ya, born in NYC, grew up in LI

  7. Fred,

I played at Princeton. After four Jersey winters I had to get somewhere warm to thaw out for awhile...and it's about 115 degrees in Laughlin today, so think I'm on the right track. Some of us weren't cut out for the East Coast, apparently.

Thanks again for sharing your work, and keep the good stuff coming.

    Best,

    Ryan

  8. I have an eye for talent. And after reading that piece about CM Punk, it was obvious that you got a talent that everyone needs to see. Congratulations on having your article be the second one on the Top Story front page.

  9. Thanks for the add, F-Bomb!

    (May I call you F?) ;)

  10. I love to see any OSU alumni succeed, keep up the good work

  11. devin harris will be an all star next year. I kind of like the trade more that I thought it over because with Harris being a much better scorer than kidd, they might of had trouble with ball distribution with vc and rj, and harris. at least yi has a much different style of play than vc. i'm just worried where the defense will be coming from.

  12. Thanks Fred. You're absolutely right about Alonzo... i couldn't believe what he was saying back then. And yes, Latrell would have been PERFECT for this article! i missed that one. Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it.

  13. my bad man. I think I messed you up with my second edit in paragraph 7.

  14. how'd you embed the hoopshype chart in the article?

  15. Thanks for the add Fred! I appreciate your honesty on the Giants article...I know how hard that is to do when it's your team...keep writing!
