Mike Singletary's Dilemma is Playoff Defense, Pop Warner Offense
11/14/2009
I've been lucky enough to have seen every 49er team since the beginning. In 1946, just before turning 4, my dad walked me across the street to Golden Gate Park to see the new team in town -- the 49ers. I met Frankie Albert, Norm Standlee and the rest of the team and have been loyal ever since. Waited 35 years for our first Super Bowl and saw a lot of great players come to Kezar. Johnny Unitas, Jim Brown, Gayle Sayers -- not to mention a few of our own like Hugh McElhenny, Leo Nomellini, Bob St. Clair, etc. Now it's time to return to the greatness of old, and Mike Singletary will be the man to lead us there.
As a big Singletary fan and a lifelong 49er fanatic I can do nothing but agree. Oh for the days of Joe or Steve.
