About Josh »

Born in Minnesota, I am a life-time Nebraska Cornhusker football fan and continually look for new avenues is which to share my opinions. I played football in High School at Kearney High for a few years and then moved onto covering it in articles.

Football is king in Nebraska, and fourth place in my heart, behind God, my wife, and my family. I will always be a Husker fan, through thick and thin. And boy has it been thick lately. Let me know what you think of my articles. While I primarily focus on Nebraska football I will cover other football and basketball news in their respective seasons.

As President of the Les Miles Fan Club I took a big hit on Saturday Night but is Les really on the Hot Seat?

I'd appreciate your feedback and I hope you like it, if you find me worthy!

Thanks in advance. - HB

Excellent. Well I currently have Crick and Suh listed A-team, but theres too much competition at safety for asante, unfortunately. Stuckey, Thomas, Carter, Hartman, Gideon, Lake just to name a few (not in any order). Allen also faces nasty competition but is still getting a heavy look for at least a second team. Sharpe, Aldon Smith, and Beal look like fixtures right now.

thanks again.

What if I told you I'm considering throwing in Jared Crick instead of McCoy as number two tackle? I know Suh skews numbers, but most of crick's numbers are better than even Suh's right now, and far beyond mccoys, even though mccoy draws plenty of attention.

suh has five sacks, 13 tackles for loss, 52 tackles, 1 pick, 3 blocked kicks

crick has 9 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, 57 tackles

mccoy is great, but still has only 22 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

I know mccoy is better, but what else can crick do but dominate? he is playing exactly as expected so i think crick wins it, but I wanted ur opinion. i like dillard, but there are endless good big 12 linebackers in the south, and asante's numbers don't quite hold up.

what do you think?

hey buddy, I was just going to ask what you thought of prince amukamara? I'm considering him for the All Big 12 defense I'm putting together. I personally like him better than o'hanlon as a safety because he has rare, true cover corner skills and has had several good games, not just one. what do you think? Also, Jared Crick is good, but do you think his sharp rise in stats is due mostly to increased focus on suh? I thought so, but want to know if you think crick may be almost as worthy of an all big 12 d' as suh is right now.

Here's this weeks picks, too!

Hey Josh!

I was wondering if you would be interested in taking part in a college football roundtable. I did a couple of these on the Orioles, and they were quite a hit. I've assembled a writer a piece from the ACC, Big 12, SEC, and PAC 10, so we've got some of the best writers from each of the best conferences.

Basically, it would consist of me writing several questions in an article and you and the other guys posting answers to them. It would be some simple stuff, such as "who's the best team in the SEC?" and some more involved stuff like "which coach is on the hottest hot seat?"

I was gonna try to make it a weekly thing, covering each weekend's games, and we can discuss which team was the most impressive, and which player stood out the most to you.

Let me know if you have any interest, and I'll put one together for the Monday or Tuesday after this weekend's games. Take it easy!

Couldn't agree more with your comment on my "10 Best" slideshow. The "rivalry" between Colorado and Nebraska is a joke, and it needs to go the way of the dodo. Just because McCartney proclaimed that NU is CU's rival back in the 80's doesn't mean he was right. Bring back OU vs. Nebraska!

Yea good article but u give the wildcats too much credit to come into Lincoln and score 13 points. I just don't see it.
