I spent my entire youth growing up in a town just outside of Kansas City. I participated in every sport that I could possibly fit into my schedule. In high school I played basketball 1 year, I swam 1 year, and played football and baseball 4 years each. In college I played softball, flag football, and broomball through intramurals. I also got some skates and a stick and learned ice hockey, in which really hurts.
I have always been a fan of my hometown teams. The Kansas City Royals and Chiefs have had a spell cast on me for as long as I can remember back. I am a true fan of things that are local, and cheering on our cities' underdogs. Usually saying "Wait til next year," but loving every minute of their success (i.e. Chiefs in the 90's.) I recently just graduated from the University of Nebraska, and will forever be a Husker. I have become more and more of a Missouri fan in the past 8-10 years, and my hatred for all things Kansas has been ingrained in me since I can remember, growing up on the Missouri side you are supposed to dislike all things kansas, while still being somewhat respectful.
