Michael's Bio
My name is Michael Wagner and I write for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Cubs. I was born and raised in San Diego, CA but now preside in Salt Lake City, UT attending Westminster College. I was raised by my father to be a hardcore Chicago sports fan, my dad now thinks I'm crazy because I live and breathe Chicago sports. I am currently in school attempting to get into Sports Management.
I am currently starting a new show named Hawk Talk with my fellow writer Brandon Rudics where we discuss the Chicago Blackhawks. It will not be a podcast but a recurring article on Bleacher Report. The show is done via IM where we discuss everything that is Chicago Blackhawks Hockey
I would like to thank Onalee Carson for doing pretty much all my editing, she does a great job! I would also like to thank Ken Armer who has really motivated me to become a better writer...Ken you are the man!
If you ever want to talk about Blackhawks Hockey, Cubs baseball or working together on The Bleacher Report then drop me a line at:

No problem, I'm having trouble managing a busy schedule as well. Some stuff is hurting and one of those things is my writing on here and other sites.

Thanks, I plan on putting up any new Cubs articles you write since certain stuff is outdated since your last Cubs article was posted. However, I will have you subscribed by rss so I get e-mailed whenever you write. I look forward to using your stuff and I'm sure anybody who reads The Daily Cub will enjoy it.

Hey Michael, I noticed looking through your profile that you a Chicago Cubs fan but haven't written anything about the Cubs in a while. Looking back over your past stuff, it was really good. I run a blog at TheDailyCub.com and was wondering if I could sindicate any Cubs articles you write in the future over to The Daily Cub.

Hey Michael, sorry it took me a while to get to your articles—I've been out of town. I didn't touch the Hawk Talk because I thought it best to leave it as the convo went.
Also, thanks for the shoutout in your bio! It means alot!
Keep those articles rolling!

Yeah. I'll be sure to use some of these points today as we go through the Central.
As far as the future. The door is always open. Chicago is going to be an exciting team this year for sure, so I'm sure they'll be a time come up this season.

Hmm...well, as you may or may not know, fellow writer Josh Lewis and myself host a radio show on youcastr dedicated to the Toronto Maple Leafs and the NHL in general.
We do a segment called Around The Rinks where we tour the NHL one division at a time to take a look at the additions/subtractions teams have made this off-season.
Tomorrow we are doing the Central. And you being quite the talented Hawks writer, we were hoping to have you on. I also was going to do a segment on NHL09, which I know you're excited about.

Michael, I took a look at your last three articles. Go back and check out the individual editing notes, but here's an overview.
I did some tweaking of your headlines and teasers, italicized the titles of other publications, and formatted numbers. I enjoy reading your stuff, so keep it coming! Awesome work!
