L.J.'s Bio
On Monday, seven U.S. Troops died and tuesday, two Canadians and a Brit , all were killed while defending a newborn democracy in Afghanistan...I do not have time for the king of pop or a philandering quarterback. If you ever got a paycheck for humping a rifle, I''m sure that you don't have the time either.
Sports Illustrated headline;
"Steve McNair's legacy was being able to touch those around him" by John P Lopez
...yeah, he mighta touched one too many this time!

Riots in Iran over "a rigged election" with Islamic hardliners getting 6% of the vote ...humanity never ceases to amaze me.
I'm the Grand Poobah of the 3,994 strong Motorsports section on B/R, covering all the racing disciplines extant. If you need edits, advice, debate or any help as a Bleacher Report Motorsports writer, drop me a line.
I am a Toyota guy...
I am also...your Huckleberry.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, romantic candle lit dinners, arguments over nothing, broken dishes, kicks, scratches and sirens wailing in the distance...show me a good time.

"This week NASCAR announced the creation of the "Citizen Journalists Media Corps," a group of "top independent NASCAR-related Web sites," as its press release described it. These sites will be granted access to cover the sport the same as the "traditional" media.
Let's just call this what it is: There are fewer and fewer "traditional" media (such as newspaper writers) and we need to fill up media centers - many of them recently expanded or built - with someone.
Believe me, I know firsthand about the loss of newspaper journalists, not just ones that cover NASCAR but in all areas - local and national news, features and other sports.
What I find ironic is for many years NASCAR wanted no part in dealing with many of these sites, nor were tracks interested in granting them credentials - mostly for reasons that dealt with their "legitimacy."
So now, we are to understand to be granted access, these sites will be reviewed for their "professionalism, reporting and commentary and use of social networking tools."

Greetings baseball fans -
Having finally overcome the gremlins that delayed this slideshow, I am happy to present at last the photographic companion to my article about covering the Dodgers as a member of the working media.

I have published my first college football piece on B/R. If not a surprise, it is about Notre Dame. Being a Big East fan, I have raised the question that has been talked about for quite some time: Should Notre Dame football become a part of the Big East conference? Appreciate any feedback given!

My best hunting buddy has a Tacoma. Great truck. We have crawled up some pretty tough mountains in that truck. The terrain here is brutal. When I got my deer last year we were on foot for 14 hours. When we packed it out it took us four hours of climbing to get back to the truck. I was glad to see that Tacoma!

Give this a read. So far, the O's outfield trio of Nolan Reimold, Adam Jones, and Nick Markakis are getting credit. And they deserve it. Reimold is a ROTY candidate, Jones is an All Star and Markakis is himself. But what other Oriole deserves credit?
