A-Train's Bio
Adrian AKA "A-Train" is a Queens, NY native and resident with a passion for playing, talking and writing basketball. An aspiring sportswriter in his spare time, Train once had a feature story about the Cleveland Cavaliers published on Foxsports.com and Yahoo! via an ESPN newswire. You'll know his name once the right opportunity presents itself--sorry NBA, I'm not working nights in Secaucus writing game recaps for $40,000--or he simply realizes with certainty that sports-writing is simply what he was meant to do.
Train started and starred as a point guard in high school, helping his team win a championship in his senior year while leading the league in assists. He also represented St. Mary's in the local CYO league that featured many eventual Division I players, including Christ the King's Craig "Speedy" Claxton, who would later go on to the NBA. Train's fondest basketball memory from those days is having a then 5-foot-4, Gumby haircut-sporting 14-year-old Claxton pin his layup attempt against the backboard--with two hands!--during a three-on-three played in a friend's driveway. Nuts!
He's currently a senior editor at a market research firm.

Most Memorable Game Attended
I remember going to Indianapolis to see a Pacers game. Watching Reggie Miller in person was unbelievable. I was never a big fan of his but once I saw him up close, I realized how amazing of a player he was. People take him for granted because "he didn't do anything but shoot." But ask any guy who played basketball how tough it is to get free from the opposing team's best defender, let alone how tough it is to catch, turn and shoot--and make it!--all within two seconds.
-
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
DiMaggio's hit streak. Forget it.

Ruth or Mays?
Mays, by far. It's not even close.

Montana was great, but he benefited tremendously from his supporting cast. I always liked Elway and Marino better. I'm going to say Unitas.

Jordan or Russell?
Jordan. Again, not even remotely close.
