steven's Bio

I'm 23 and from the North East of England. I live between Sunderland and a small village named Blackhall which nobody has heard of. I write articles specifically about Formula One since motorsport is the only sport I enjoy. I will watch any sort of racing but cannot give enough of my life to sitting around watching cars sprinting round and round and so concentrate on Formula One, the big league.

I've never attended a Grand Prix but have watched it religiously since 1996 and on and off with my Dad since before then. I hope my articles are informative and most importantly, interesting and fun to read.

  1. I was wondering where you'd gone when you disappeared from the Top Writers Rankings. I could not even find your name in the Top 20 and it so happened that the site went for a toss for a little while.

Welcome back, I am glad to see your article!

    Bests,
    Sarah

  2. Just a quick one to say, even though I sometimes forget to say it in the comments I leave and respond to, I am thankful for any comments and points raised whether in opposition or support or in critique of my work and points. Thank you all very much and thanks for taking the time to read!

  3. No worries, mate. I write a series called "Racing 101" to help better educate people on racing.

You may want to break your stories into bite-sized chunks. That's a problem I have - keeping it simple.

I'm a stickler for detail, love to teach and believe knowledge is made to be shared. It's just a matter of people being able to absorb it.

So keep that in mind, and you'll have plenty of stuff to write about, and readers to read it.

  4. Steven. I was reading your piece on Learning Formula One, and instead of editing it, I thought I'd let you know it needs quite a bit of work (and that's just the section on qualifying). The new format in 2008 is 20/15/10 minutes for Q1,Q2,Q3. Also, all cars will qualify for the race, it's just a matter of setting the starting lineup (whereas in NASCAR there are cars that won't make the field.)

Just thought I'd give you a heads' up and chance to make what looks to be a good article better.
