I'm an Undergrad at the University of Southern California. Double majoring in Music Industry and Spanish with a minor in Songwriting.
Sports are pretty much the anti-thesis of my life as a singer/songwriter/college student. However, AAU Basketball rules the other half of my life and the Anaheim Ducks have started seeping their way into that loop.
So, what's that mean? Well, here it is. I am a writer by passion. My work mainly consists of song composition, poetry, and fiction. I have been a loyal follower of AAU girls and boys basketball; my younger sisters have held the title for National Champions the last three years ('06, '07, & '08) and my younger brother holds the same title to his name. My other younger brother definitely has big shoes to fill... It would be more than a joy to see their careers develop beyond college ball. I myself, never had the knack for playing on the court, but watching these kids in their element is a high that I can never put into words.
As a proud Trojan, it's always nice to see my team win. I'm very excited for next football season and I'm hoping that we keep improving our basketball team (Yeah, I'm not going to mention that OTHER school...). So, where does hockey come in? Well, growing up in central Orange County, what I still refer to as the Arrowhead Pond, has always been a familiar place for me. Granted, you'll usually see me there at a concert or a basketball game, but it's home for the Ducks. I'm the webmaster for The Puck Drop (http://ducksnews-puckdrop.blogspot.com) and spend my time here on Bleacher Report as an editor. I might put my musical passions aside someday and write a blurb for BR. Until then, I'm still learning...
