Randy's Bio

My name is Randy Ratliff. I have been an avid sports fan pretty much my entire life. Whether playing sports, watching them, or researching them. Sports have always been a part of my life. I also enjoy learning the history of my favorite sports, and reading about and watching the great players of the past. My favorite teams are the Oakland Raiders, the Sacramento Kings, and the Boston Red Sox. Other than sports. My other major interest is music. Mostly rock but I am open to most genres, other than country.

The Red Sox beating the Yankees in game 7 of the '04 ALCS and winning the World Series.

Most Memorable Game Attended

Probably a Blazers Pistons regular season game. I haven't had the opportunity to attend many games.

Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Cy Young's all time wins record. No one will come close to that

Ruth or Mays?

It's close. But I would have to say Ruth. He was just unstoppable at the plate

Unitas or Montana?

I would have to say Montana. Unitas was way before my time so it is hard to say.

Jordan or Russell?

Jordan. He could kill you on the offensive end and on the defensive end. He could dominate the game from the guard position. Which is extremely hard to do.

Gretzky or Orr?

Not a huge hockey fan. But I would have to say Gretzky. He is the face of the NHL

Pele or Maradona?

Pele. He transcended the sport.

Federer or Sampras?

Sampras. He played against a more credible field than Federer and put up comparable numbers.

Tiger or Nicklaus?

By the time Tiger hits the senior tour he will be considered the greatest ever.

Petty or Earnhardt?

Earnhardt

Schumacher or Senna?

Schumacher

Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

I will always be a Pac 10 fan. They are solid in every sport every year.
