Henderick has yet to fill out a bio.
I might be mistaken here, but don't they use the same formation as us, too?
Well when he returns to us he's going to be in a Barca squad much different than the one he left out of. Tito's Barca doesn't seem like it will exist anymore by the end of this season. The only thing I would have prefferred would be for him to go on a team that qualified for European competition. By far the best option for him would have been Ajax, but it seems we'd rather send them our rejects in hope of them possibly improving than sending them our future legends.
I also heard he's doing work on our set piece defending too, switching from zonal marking to man marking. Apparently Bagnack is strong in the air. That could come in handy.
I'm hoping he has a seriously focused rotation, though. My biggest fear is Tello decides to leave to one of the English teams that love poaching players from us.
I'm also of the opinion that loaning out Gerard was a good move. His attitude is very similar to Bojan's, and I'd rather keep him hungry for a first team spot than have him feel like he owns it the way Bojan did. Developing with a mid-table team and coming back ready to prove himself is a better course of action imo
I think Tata is doing a good job with the team. Take a look at this. http://www.barcablaugranes.com/2013/8/5/4590470/gerardo-tata-martino-has-fc-barcelona-practicing-defending
It also looks like Bagnack is promoted to the first team, or at least will feature for the us in some capacity this upcoming season. The kid must be pretty good...
So it looks like Tata is going to be our new manager.
Do you think he's going to give our young guns a chance? The last thing we want is Tello or Montoya pulling a Bojan/Thiago.
To be honest, I don't think we need a backup for Alba at all. Montoya does a good job filling in as LB when Adriano isn't able, and since Alba is so rarely rested as it is, playing just a small bit less than a certain little Argentine, I don't see a need for it. Also, that defender just signed a new contract with Valencia despite Barca's interest. I don't see him making the switch.
I hope they learn their lesson, but I don't think Thiago is enough. It seems out of that bunch the only ones they care for are Montoya (Due to Alves's age) and, for whatever reason, Marc Bartra. Gerard and Tello are actually considering leaving with the introduction of Neymar and the knowledge that Alexis is the favorite!
He's leaving. I'm almost 100% certain.
But... that's alright. We are Barca, we produce the best midfielders in the world. If Thiago doesn't want to be that guy, I'm sure young Sergi would love the opportunity. To be honest Roberto has been more impressive to me when wearing the Barca shirt, but Thiago's tournament made his stock skyrocket. Even if Thiago was to be sold, not giving him his 60% play time was just bad business, as we are losing a considerable amount of money.
All the players rumored to be pursued by Tito except for Thiago Silva are all expected to play a secondary role- no additions clearly needed. I'd love to see an article pop up about a future star we are scouting instead of the older bit players we're seeing. Fernando Torres? So he can be a plan B for Messi? Juan Mata? Where the hell will he play? Mathiue? Why do we need a LB?
I dunno. We're stuck with this coach for at least another season. The good news is Laporta intends to run in the next election. Hopefully then we'll return to the team we once were.
Whoa, no way to edit.
Disregard that Last of Us stuff... lol
Hey man, something I thought you'd be interested in.
If those numbers are good management I'm scared for next season.
Yes, Thiago leaving would open the door for Sergi Roberto, but only if he is given the chances Thiago was not afforded.
Things look like they're going to have to get worse before they get any better. We're in a stage of transition more from our own idiocy than anything else.
