About George »

I'm a huge sports fan - actually, like all sports (playing and watching), but my favorites are:

Watching
Pro Football - love my Steelers
College Football - except the BCS
Hockey - especially the playoffs

Playing
Skiing (if you can call that a sport)
Golf
Anything else (as long as you have to run, jump, catch and/or throw)

I've been looking for a writing outlet, so here I am. I hope you read and enjoy my articles/comments.

The easiest thing to do in writing is to keep the paragraphs to 3-4 sentenses, and don't use numbers unless it it part of the stat line. They also like you to use only one space between the period and the start of the next sentense, which I still have a hard time with. The easiest thing it to be honest, and don't worry about what other people are going to say. If they disagree with you, you will get comments, and that is a good thing. If you want to get a lot of reads, write something negative about Peyton Manning or the Patriots. You will get TONS of reads. If you need a hand with anything else, just let me know!

Thanks, George. It can be hard to keep up with all the changes that are going on here, as well as keeping up with the people that comment on your articles. It used to be so much easier. I try to write an article each day, or at least average it. If you want to get lots of reads, write articles on power rankings, or weekly previews and predictions, they seem to get the most hits because so many people are looking for them. Let me know when you write, and I can add the tags for you, or you can edit it yourself, and add them after the article is published. Someone taught me this trick after I wrote about 20 articles, and it really works.
Take care and I will talk to you soon. Thanks for being a fan.

I just read your article, and I am glad you decided to come to Bleacher to write. My name is Nick, and I have been here about 10 months, so if you have any questions or need help with anything, please feel free to ask. I edited your article, but made no changes to the content. I just added a couple tags so that it can be read on more areas of the site. If you want to know what I did, feel free to ask and I can show you how to do it to your own articles. Let me know when you write something else, because your work is quality.

    Take care,
    Nick

    Hi George, how are you?

Dave Mo turned me on to your work, and I just want to welcome you to B/R. This is, in my opinion, the best interactive site on the 'Net! I get the vast majority of my sports news here now.

I will send you a private message with some pointers - this can be a lonely place without some help! - and I just want you to know that I'm available to answer questions and assist you in any way that I can. You've begun contributing at a very exciting time. There are many improvements being instituted and the potential is boundless.

Take care, and I will be seeing you around! (Never know where I might pop up! lol)
