Ken Beckett

Ken Beckett

Ken grew up with a typical Canadian childhood. He was born wearing skates and carrying a hockey stick. It was especially painful for his mother.

He grew up with a love for hockey, which quickly spread to many other sports. Ken enjoys watching and playing baseball anytime he can. He also thoroughly enjoys football, racing, wrestling, and MMA.

Ken graduated from the Radio and Television Broadcasting program at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario back in 2005. In addition to writing for Bleacher Report, Ken covers the Toronto Maple Leafs for the web's most-read, independent hockey site,

Ken is also a sports broadcaster in Southern Ontario, doing play-by-play commentary for baseball and hockey coverage and serving as an analyst on the OHL post-game show. He has commentated almost 1000 hours of sports broadcasts and he is only 26 years old. He is thrilled that MMA is FINALLY sanctioned in his province of Ontario so that he can cover that sport live as well.
