Torrey has yet to fill out a bio.
Hahahaha.... well, we certainly have our differences, two programs that are about the polar opposite of each other... but one thing Oregon and Alabama seem to have in common is NOT looking like the TMZ joke that some of these other programs have become. AJ was a class act, Mariota is a class act, coach Saban is well above allowing any of that to tarnish his program, and so is Helfrich. Just last night an Arizona Cardinal arrested for more woman beating... crazy man. Far as tonight goes, just shut things down and I'm checking out Auburn (what you call Barners), and Kansas State. Good game so far, 10-7 Auburn, with K State missing a tying field goal right before the half here. If this is the Auburn that shows up to play your Tide this year, they probably get their arsses handed to them and you take the iron bowl. But you know that goes... Rivalry game. Just like Oregon State has mediocre seasons all the time, then decides to play the game of their life against my Ducks every year. Anyway, Roll on eighteen wheeler roll on... errrrr... ummm.. I mean roll tide. And of course, Go Ducks.
Seems the last few years during this run Oregon's been having, they've been notoriously a second half team. UCLA last year, Tennessee both at Rocky Top and at Autzen, Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl, and many of the blowouts even, all games that seem to blow up in the second half. I think it has to do with Radcliffs conditioning program, and exactly what you said about being great with adjustments at the half. When you know their in trouble, is when the third quarter has come to pass, and their still really struggling. (Stanford, Boise State a few years back, Arizona last year and so on.) I think LSU is kinda like that too. Seen lots of games where they look to be in trouble, then come out strong later in the game. Again with Wisconsin they did that again this year. You following this Rice stuff that's exploding all over the place??? I actually watched the notorious "elevator video" today, after hearing all the buzz. Good lord. I don't get it. A chick spits in your face. So what??? A chick hits you... so what???? I've been kicked, slapped, punched by plenty of woman, never had the desire to club one with a left hook. Makes the guy kinda look like a wimp in my opinion. Feels threatened enough by a woman that he feels the need to knock her out cold x??? lol
Get over it already.
Hahahahaha!!! Ya Johnny Football is really something, that's for damn sure. Funny thing is, I remember talking to many friends and saying "whoever picks that dude up is gonna have a ton of headaches on their hands", and I saw that one coming from a mile away. I knew first thing outta the gates was going to be defenders taunting him with that stupid money sign thing. lmao!! Happened the other day and he responds with the bird after putting up something like a 6/14 and 68 yard one touchdown performance. That rig, used to be the company I worked for had those, but they don't anymore, and I'm now in a MACK. My old rig was a kickass Pete, dual stacks, dual cans, 4 1/4 with an 18 speed. My new ones a 13 with the deep reduction, but I hardly use the lower divider anyway, really just drive it like a 9 speed more than anything, unless I'm offroad with it on a construction site or something. Came through Alabama on I-20 not too long ago, and took a picture of the billboard says "ROLL TIDE" on it. Actually some kick ass houses off that lake not too far from Talladega. If only jamming gears and turning a wheel paid enough to close a deal on one a those. lol AJ was a rock for you guys, I don't think the Tide needs the next "Johnny Be Good" or a set the world on fire quarterback to have a solid season.... mostly because the talent down there (like TJ Yeldon) and that coaching staff is more than enough. Even a new kid on the block down there isn't gonna make a lot of mistakes being coached up by Saban and Kiffin. Kiffin may not be much of a head coach, but he's a hell of an offensive coordinator, always has been. I think your Tide just needs a qb that's gonna be smart, and realize he's not gonna win all the games on his own, and you'll once again be nearly impossible to beat this year, even in the SEC gauntlet you have to deal with. Oregon's biggest question marks this year, one - Mariota staying healthy because I'd hate for that damn knee injury to come back again this year. They simply need that third element to the triple option too much, they had to remove it from the gameplan the last few games because of the injury last year, and we all know how that worked out. Scott Frost was a first year OC last year, and if you ask me, he panicked a bit when he knew Mariota couldn't run with the ball in a knee brace... and over used DeAnthony Thomas. DAT himself was out for 4 weeks with an injury last year, and returned for the Stanford game, and it seemed they tried to hard to use him like an every down back with Mariota not able to run. HUGE MISTAKE, because DAT at 178 pounds was just never built to run the ball like that. Result was fumbles and inconsistency in the red zone. Mariota's healthy now, and DATS gone to the NFL to be a return specialist for the Cheifs, and it looks like Oregon's going with Royce Freeman whose a much bigger back this year, and so is Tyner... but a little doubt remains in the recievers this year losing Addison to injury and Huff to the NFL. So may see Oregon go back to a more ground game than pass happy game like they used to play in 2010-2011. And that could be the reason for all the weight and mass they decided to put on in the offseason. Not sure. Tested early against a perty stout Michigan State team, so I guess we'll find out. Just take down the Barners this year on your end, and we'll do our best to deal with Stanford and MSU. lol
Seriously?????? That sucks. I have suddenlink.... just added a 10 dollar (what they call "sports package" for 10 bucks a month and SEC network came with it. Oddly enough, and ironic enough... I cant get PAC12 network. Hahahahaha!! It's not available through suddenlink, only Comcast. I guess you can get It through XFINITY, but only 2 of Oregon's games are scheduled for PAC12 Network so far, so why bother. Hey did you see Johnny Manziels bird? Lmao!! Like we all didn't see that coming from a mile away. Also Braxton Miller is toast for the season, Ohio State is having to go with a redshirt freshman for the year. Good god I don't wish that kind of crap on anybody.
Youd be delighted to hear I got the SEC network. LMAO!!! Actually what I got was a 10 dollar sport package for my cable this year, that happened to come with the SEC network. Came with Longhorn network, ESPN2, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN classics, ABC college sports, NBC college network something or another, some outdoor sport channel thing, FOXsports2 and 1, and about 3 or 4 other channels. Can't wait for the season to get rolling.
Hahahahaha!!! I hear the adds on the radio all the time, but no. I don't even sign up for the PAC12 network. Mostly because of how much I'm on the road. I usually wind up watching games like that online. Looking forward to watching to watching the iron bowl again this year, LSU and Wisconsin, and a few other SEC games though.
That would be a great individual dual to see for sure. People can slam on the hiring of Kiffin all they want, but personally, I think Saban and the Tide made an extremely smart move there. As a head coach, Kiffin was a bit of a joke both in the SEC and in the PAC12... but the fact remains, as an offensive mind, the guy is incredible. Picking up a qb like Barnett, not sure I spelled it right without looking it up, but that Notre Dame decommit... anyway, considering the kind of talent Kiffin will have to work with at Alabama, they'll be spooky good on offense, and I'll bet Saban is already keying in on what went wrong against spread offenses. Truly... I'd be shocked as hell if your Tide doesn't make it into one of the 4 playoff spots this year. Just hoping my Ducks can get past Michigan State, Stanford, and that road game they have against UCLA this year. 3 wins there would likely launch them into the playoffs as well, so long as everyone stays healthy this year.
Are we starting this year off on a different foot Mr. Torrey Lane??? If that's the case... let me say this... Best Wishes to your Crimson Tide brother, and may they do what they've been doing best for years... and ROLL onto the playoffs. Actually my only hope is that both teams can stay healthy all season this year and we can finally get that matchup. Both fanbases and even the programs themselves have been pulling for that one the last few years, and I think college football truly needs it. Incredibly powerful traditional program like the Tide, and the new face of college ball like Oregon. It would be great. Only disappointing thing would be, it didn't get to happen with AJ vs Mariota. But with the incredible staff you've got there, I'm sure you'll develop another rock like AJ in the offseason and pick right back up where you left off again. Anyway, best of luck this year brother.
And what the hell are you talking about? It was your head coach that was leading the convoy of wambulances trying to "change the rules" as you call it, and do away with the up tempo style of play. Boohoo... NCAA was smart enough to throw it under the bus. Too bad. Get over it. But it's your coaching staff that's crying, not Oregon's. So stop your desperate attempt of bringing up something controversial under Belloti from decades ago... lmao!! Try an "L" on for size, it goes on your forehead, and if you don't know what it stands for I'll be glad to let you know.
