Growing up in college football hotbed Oklahoma in the '80s in a home split along Bedlam lines, Allen Kenney's pro-OU dad got to him first. Despite lighting out for school in the college football wasteland of the Northeast at the age of 18, his passion for the game never waned. After graduating from Villanova University in 2001, Allen bumped around the country for a bit before settling temporarily in Chicago to complete a master's degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Since then, he has worked as a writer and investigative reporter in Washington, D.C., and recently completed a part-time MBA program at The George Washington University School of Business.
Allen's blog, Blatant Homerism, follows the college football world at large, with an emphasis on its most prestigious program, the Oklahoma Sooners. Don't look for any "journalism" here--just some of the finest college football writing around.

I'm FINALLY writing about the Orioles again. I was very busy with Ravens stuff. But this is basically an offseason preview. The O's will be plenty busy this offseason, and here, I answered how the O's problems can be fixed, and actually pretty easily.

I just finished reading your "Play It Again, Sam" article. I'm humbled by the quality of your writing and the graciousness with which you commented on my article when you could have said "Yeah, I already wrote about this last week." Your article was much better than the "la-dee-da paean" form that mine ended up taking. Thank you for bringing me back to Earth after my head had grown momentarily large. I'm always grateful for the chance to re-evaluate my work in the light of others'. Best of luck to the Sooners on Saturday.
