Born in Los Angeles, Sam studied English, Creative Writing and Film Business at USC, and has been working as a writer since 2005. His topics range from job-hunting advice in the entertainment industry, to pop culture commentary, to travel journalism.

After covering Trojan football for the 2009 season, Sam crossed party lines to serve as Featured Columnist for UCLA football in January 2010.
