Red Wings - Stars: Highlights from Game 1 and a Detroit/Dallas Series Preview

I've been an avid NHLer since the Red Wings first Cup run in 1995. Before then, I watched, but only Wayne Gretzky with LA.
I've played hockey my entire life, from Mites thru college and am now a referee for USA Hockey, the Michigan High School Athletic Association, and the American Collegiate Hockey League. I enjoy golfing and playing summer sports when not on the ice.
I graduated Grand Valley State University in 2008 with my degree in Criminal Justice and am currently getting ready to go through a police academy here in Michigan. My favorite show is The Office and more specifically, I like the character Dwight Schrute.

I gave up. It's awful. Guess Theodore only had one elite performance in him. All the injuries aren't helping either.

Me too. I'm a hockey historian (obviously), and I can't stand it. It's a slap in the face of their team history.

Actually I only really hate them when they play the Leafs. Aside from that I'm pretty (I guess you could say) uncommitted on them. They are a good team (better than I give them credit for in public anyhow), I guess I'm just a little jealous at all the recent success you guys are having there in Michigan.
The ironic thing, is that although I'm a Leafs fan, I have this strange ability to turn it off and write unbiased views of the Sens, Habs, and Wings when I choose to. It's really strange. I choose not to question it.
Personal padding aside, again welcome to the team and I look forward to hearing more from you Ryan!
