My name is John Garcia. I have lived on Long Island, NY my entire life. I am a Yankees fan despite of my parent's being Red Sox and Mets fans. I am currently attending the University of Connecticut and will be a sophomore this fall. I am majoring in Mathematics Education but have always had a passion in Sports Journalism.

My first ever Yankees game, Boston @ New York September 22, 1996. Red Sox had a kid named Arquimedez Pozo and, being just 6, I just loved the name. Also, the Yankees beat my dad's Sox turning me into a Yankees fan for life.
