The 2009 Green Bay Packers: A Weak Three Review
09/24/2009
I have been a Green Bay Packers fan since 1989. I will be one until I shuffle off this mortal coil.
Why am I a Packers fan? I read Jerry Kramers book "Instant Replay" when I was eleven. About two months later I watched my first Packers game. For the next seven years I was enthralled as "my" team went from bottom feeders to yearly contenders in the NFC and finally champions of it all. So awesome. There's been some bad seasons since; but whatever. No true Packer fan will ever drop their favorite team for a 4-12 season. They'll just wait for next year.
Bleacher Report is sweet. Aside from the Packers homepage this is the only website I visit everyday.
I am Canadian. I do like hockey (go Oilers!), will watch the Raptors win 35 games a year and used to like the Blue Jays back in the day.
This was before I realized that there are about 20 too many teams in MLB and that they play roughly 140 unecessary games each year. Also the games are about six innings too long. Oh, and it's boring; really boring.
Lots of post-game talk about poor practices. Is MM doing his job?

What did you think of the Packers - Bears game? I went back and studied the film to come up with some surprising observations, including the key play in the game that everyone has overlooked.

Comments are always appreciated.

Hey, I've given my thoughts and notes of the week one of the 2009 NFL Season. I know I did not include the Monday Night game, but I will make a more in depth article for that game. I plan to do these articles each week.

First of all, thanks for being a fan!
If you like to reminisce, here's one for you:

I'm good, thanks for asking.
I know you probably wouldn't totally like the story, and I don't want anything to happen to anyone [[even Favre]], But I just couldn't help but laugh when I saw this story...
And I don't know if you saw my comment on another person's article, but I said that I didn't start really getting into football until a few seasons ago, although I do know a hell of a lot about it now compared to most.... Studying the history of the NFL still doesn't make you a fan of a certain person in the NFL's past; this is why I never really had a connection to Favre...
