The Battle For Fourth Place?
11/20/2009
I am a 20-year-old student currently studying Legal Science and Italian in Galway. However upon completion of my BA degree I wish to pursue a career in journalism. I grew up in Hampshire but have lived in the motherland for the past 10 years. A loyal Liverpool fan since a toddler, I must admit to having a soft spot for my local side Southampton. I try to go to Galway United games as often as possible, weather permitting of course. An avid football fan, in addition I enjoy watching tennis, rugby, cricket and athletics. As an ex rower sporting heroes include Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Matthew Pinsent and James Cracknell. Football wise Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Fernando Torres are all inspirational to watch. I also have a keen interest in the fortunes of Andy Murray. Finally hope England reclaim the Ashes!
While on erasmus for a year in Bologna (Italy), a mate and I set up www.thesportreview.com which I also write for and check it out if you have time.
Finally it's been a long summer without football so I'm glad it's back!
This was very well written Kieran, very eloquently done.
Hey,
Henry's handball has got the whole football world talking. What better time for another Great Debate? Should Henry have owned up? Is he a cheat? Should FIFA have allowed a replay? Have your say in the great debate!

Kieran, after the Henry handball yesterday, I have decided that replay must be implemented in the beautiful game somehow. Please tell me your reaction.

Hey Kieren, in what I hope to be a new feature to the site, I've written a comprehensive biography of Juve and France Legend Michel Platini, it's long so I can understand if you don't have the time to look at it but otherwise I'd really appreciate your opinion on it.

DeleteHey,
Following up yesterday's great debate is the one I've been waiting to write for a long time, and the one I think may be the best debate yet and a must-read for any football fan! Should video technology be introduced into football? Would doing so take away from the 'magic' that makes the game so great? And would it help or hinder the referees? Have your say in the Great Debate!
