About

I am a 20-year-old student currently studying Legal Science and Italian in Galway. However upon completion of my BA degree I wish to pursue a career in journalism. I grew up in Hampshire but have lived in the motherland for the past 10 years. A loyal Liverpool fan since a toddler, I must admit to having a soft spot for my local side Southampton. I try to go to Galway United games as often as possible, weather permitting of course. An avid football fan, in addition I enjoy watching tennis, rugby, cricket and athletics. As an ex rower sporting heroes include Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Matthew Pinsent and James Cracknell. Football wise Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Fernando Torres are all inspirational to watch. I also have a keen interest in the fortunes of Andy Murray. Finally hope England reclaim the Ashes!

While on erasmus for a year in Bologna (Italy), a mate and I set up www.thesportreview.com which I also write for and check it out if you have time.

Finally it's been a long summer without football so I'm glad it's back!

    Hey,

It's a tiny bit late as it took longer than expected to write it, but my review of 2009 is finally here! Last year's one won the AOTD award and hopefully I've done enough on this one to equal that feat, but I'll leave you to be the judge of that!

With 25 great moments from 12 different sports, and with everyone from Barcelona to France, the Yankees to the Lakers, and Usain Bolt to Tiger Woods there is something for everyone in this slideshow, plus a ranked top ten as the final slide!

If you get a chance would you mind checking it out? Cheers!

    Hey,

It's that time of year again! Time to vote for your B/R World Football Writer of the Year. A final shortlist of 10 has been devised with great difficulty, and now you can vote for who you think deserves the accolade! Let the voting commence!

    Also...

If you haven't seen it already, I have written the first of many "decade in review" pieces, and this one looks at Liverpool's top 15 matches of the noughties. Have a look and see what you think, you might be surprised at what ISN'T number one!
