I’m a proud alumna of Texas Tech University. I work for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. I do my best to combine my knack for editing with my lifelong passion for sports. Tony Kornheiser is one up on me. He was an English major too, but he has his own show.

I have been known to brake for sports museums, or cry over the final score. There's no shame in that—at least I can admit it ;)

My dad is an airline pilot. He used to fly the Pittsburgh Steelers charter back in the Cowher days. When they landed in Arizona for Super Bowl XXX, he waved a Terrible Towel out his cockpit window. It caused quite a scene. Chris Berman and the ESPN crew caught it all. I was the coolest kid in the entire elementary school.

Positives coming out of y'days game:

1. Potts will never play football again. Anywhere. Ever. That includes Europe or Africa or whrvr the hell they play football these days.

2. We had our annual pinch-me-is-this really-happening game yesterday so hopefully games against OSU and OU shudn't be as bad. Again, hopefully.

3. Since we lost to Houston, A&M and Texas, we're the 4th best team in Texas. Heard that, Rice? We're better than you.

4. Therez nowhere to go but up.
