My name is Alex Tichenor. I am 17 (high school junior) and have hopes of becoming a sportswriter someday. I am from Wake Forest, NC, near Raleigh so naturally I am a big NC State fan. As for professional sports I am a huge Panthers fan. I follow the NFL and NBA closer than any other sports. My NBA team is the Blazers. My family is from the Portland area and they are big Blazers fans, so that's the tie in. I'm not a huge puckhead, but I'm a big fan of the Carolina Hurricanes. I like the Florida Marlins in the MLB, but do not live and die with them like I do with my other favorite teams. I really like to write preview articles and predictions so you'll be seeing a lot of those from me, as well as stuff about the Blazers and Panthers mostly.
