Began sportswriting career with the Los Angeles Examiner's prep sports section, the Scholastic Sports Association. While there served as editor and executive editor and became the youngest person ever to cover a World Series game for a major metropolitan newspaper.

Became the youngest sports editor in the greater Los Angeles area while serving at the Inglewood Daily News chain, the then home city for the Lakers and Kings as well as the venue for Hollywood Park Racetrack. In addition to covering the aforementioned, also covered the Rams, Dodgers, Angels, USC and UCLA.

Has also written in the political and film fields. Has an international political work covering 3,500 years of Middle East history, "Struggle for the Holy Land" as well as three currently published works on film history, "Early Film Noir", "L.A. Noir" and "Hitchcock and the Methods of Suspense."
