About

I'm originally from Evanston, Ill. and am a recent grad of Indiana University. I received a degree in Sport Communication with a minor in Sport Marketing and Management and a certificate in Journalism. I wrote for the Indiana Daily Student sports desk for about 2.5 years, covering everything from intramurals to men's basketball. I am currently riding out my lease in Bloomington, where I continue to write for the IDS and am an editing intern with the B/R for the summer. I am desperately seeking a job for August and beyond. Seriously desperate.

I love college basketball, football, and soccer. I occasionally enjoy the NFL (when the Bears aren't sucking) but rarely the NBA...I lost interest after the Bulls fell off in the late '90s. I am bitter and frigid after 22 years of being a Cubs fan—my soul died in Wrigley Field at Game 7 of the NLCS in 2003.

That's me in the red, celebrating a Hoosier basketball victory on the football field...they should never leave those gates open. RIP Coach Hep, you are the MAN!

  • All Time Sports Moment

5 years old, looking up from my seat in Wrigley Field and watching Harry Carey sing the 7th inning stretch out of the pressbox. It's when I knew that sports was where I wanted to be.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

2003 NCLS Cubs vs. Marlins Game 7...greatest and worst moment of my life, all bundled up into a sad pathetic little package.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

IU men's soccer 8 overtimes versus Duke in the 1983 College Cup for their first national title...it's unbreakable 'cuz the rules have changed about overtimes. Ha.

    Pele

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

Thanks for your help. Just starting with bleacher. Just made a few more revisions to clean it up and expend on the Nets vs. Jordan draft comparison. A shame since would like Mike to bring success to Charlotte, but just makes bad decisions.

I am just happy my Celtics finally won after 22 years. Also liked their draft.

I am also an IU grad and also wrote for the IDS my freshman year :) Wish I continued it, but got discouraged when I did not get credit for news articles with my name listed ;( Look forward to read your articles.

    Thank you again.

Linnea, could you be my long lost daughter? I can't tell you how many times the Cubbies have killed my soul! Thank you for your kind words and for editing the "Cote" article. If you are a Cub fan then you know why I have turned to MMA for solace.
