Highly Touted WR Trovon Reed (LA) Chooses Auburn University

I can't wait to see how Auburn responds this year under new leadership. In addition to that, I hope the Atlanta Braves front office has gotten Bobby Cox the pieces he needs to win. They frustrate me more than anything, but I love them. Sportscenter, Baseball Tonight, and College Gameday consume my life if I am anywhere near a TV set. I also wish that the MLB season never ended. This summer I was able to attend SEC Media Days as a credentialed member of the media, and it was quite the experience.
College Football is HERE.
Hey Brooks, I have followed you for a while and value your thoughts, care to take a look...

I've spent the past several weeks adding to a piece dedicated to one of the father's of college football, Knute Rocke. In time for his dedication tomorrow at Notre Dame Stadium, I present to you the true and inspiring story of the most renown coach in the game:
Don't be shy, and as always, feedback is appreciated.

It's time to ask yourself do your suffer from the Crimson Tide Stain? Obviously you dont but I wonder if our good friends Larry and Franklin are suffering from such a terrible illness.

Hey Brooks. I really enjoy your posts. It's fun to see the back and forth between you and Mr. Strickland. Your styles are quite different and I think that adds a lot to the AU community here. Your optimism and his cynicism make for a multi-dimensional view of AU football. I'll continue to look forward to all the articles you post, as well as Mr. Strickland. Healthy debate/disagreement makes this place one of the best to visit when I want opinions on AU football!!
Also, thanks for letting me know when new stuff is posted. I'm still fairly new here, so I'd like to figure out where I may fit in before I take a shot at posting my own piece. Keep up the good work! WDE!

Brooks, what did you think of Auburn's performance yesterday?
The only statistic that bothered me was the time of possession. That means our thin defense will spend a lot of time on the field.

Yes that was a good read Brooks. I'm probably just as much of a Tide fan as you are for the Tigers. But I also never get into making negative remarks about another school. That only leads to our receiving negative comments in return. I hope that one day there could be enough AU and UA fans to meet for a while on the campuses, just for some courteous and pleasant conversation before the game begins. It definitely won't affect the final score.
In my early years, I too went along with the Bama fans who wished Auburn the worst. But, unlike you, it takes some of us longer to respect our opponents. After moving back to Alabama from the Midwest, I've met many Auburn people I've come to like and respect. While it's impossible, I'd like nothing better than seeing us meet undefeated every year. I'm hoping to be able to come down to your Ole Miss game.
When I was in the Alabama Band, we were consistently rated along with OSU and Michigan as the three best bands in the nation, but that's no longer the case. It will be worth the drive just to see your great AU band, especially knowing how well all of you will praise the band when they start their halftime show.
I've been publishing a history of the Tide, and hope to soon finish my last article for a while, which will be about SEC fans having some right to be arrogant for not being respected for so many years.
