This isn't fair Adam! You can't leave B/R! You're my favorite sports writer even though you write articles for the team that I hate. I was looking forward to reading all of your articles on the new Jim Harbaugh era. Progress is progress I guess so congratulations on your new endeavors. Thank you very much for all of the great articles and for taking my Michigan jabs with the light humor in which they were intended. You're the best man!!!

    @David Kim:

I get it. I really do....

For me it was easier to watch the Rich Rodriguez years because I had very little expectation...

But Brady Hoke brought back pride and tradition....

Brady Hoke Actually Won Early 11-2 in 2011 with a BCS Sugarbowl Victory....

He reminded us "THIS IS MICHIGAN"....

He produced consecutive top 10 recruiting teams in 2012 and 2013.....

But He failed to develop that talent, his players were not held accountable for their behavior, and 2014 was a disaster of historical and epic proportions....

I love Brady Hoke, he restored the fire and left us with a team of talented youngsters...

    Now Jim Harbaugh is here...

    Accountability for everything is here...

    An NFL pedigree is here...

And we have favorable schedule against our rivals.....

We Are The Hunters, Not The Hunted....

    I dare to believe...

    GO BLUE!!

    Adam,

I am a founder of the National Collegiate Student Section Association, and we are planning a national convention.

The National Collegiate Student Section Association is an organization focused on enhancing and improving the collegiate student fan experience across the nation. It is our goal to bring student section leaders together to collaborate and build a stronger collegiate atmosphere while utilizing integrity and sportsmanship.

We want to unite a nation of student sections. One of the ways that we will do this is through our First Annual NCSSA National Convention. At that convention, we will be building a community that can address the issues faced amongst student-fans, including how to increase student attendance at all athletic events. We want each participant to walkaway with the knowledge and tools to not only make their student section the best that it can possibly be, but also to have a huge impact on their respective campuses.

Some of the workshops that will be lead at the conference are social media, leadership strategies, problems facing different sizes of schools, intraconference issues, and sportsmanship. The conference will take place over the course of four days in the middle of June.

This is the first time that student sections from across the national and from different NCAA conferences will all come together in the same room, and we believe that the amount of positive change that can stem from this convention can change the landscape of collegiate athletics.

I would love to be in touch to talk about this more in depth.

What's the real story behind Michigan's significant delay in handling the Brandon Gibbons situation? What little information has come forward paints a pretty bad picture of Michigan and Brady Hoke. To what degree is Hoke culpable in an alleged cover-up? If he did engage in one, is he on the hot seat or at risk of being fired? If there's anything to this, will parents still let their UM 2014 and 2015 commits go to Michigan? Thanks for any insights you can offer.

Lane Kiffin to replace Borges? What are your thoughts?

  • U of M posted 590 days ago

In reference to the replacing Al Borges post, I know it is a few days removed from the last comments, so I just wanted to message you and clarify something. When I said "If a school like Rutgers is looking at the guy as a QB Coach, why would a school like Michigan look at him as the OC," I wasn't saying that the only school looking at the guy was Rutgers and he wouldn't get any other job offers. I was simply saying that Michigan, being a far superior program than Rutgers, shouldn't be looking at taking a guy in as the OC who is simply being looked at as a QB coach. It just doesn't fit. It would make much more sense to go to a MAC school or another mid-major school and go after their OC than it would be to go get a guy who is getting looks as a QB coach at a lesser school. It just seems to me that if other teams were high on him at all, they'd be going after him as a OC as well instead of a QB coach.
