I am a student of Martial Arts in both the physical aspect as well as the philosophical. I am a huge fan of MMA though this was not always so. I distinctly remember watching UFC 2 live and believing it to be nothing more than glorified bar fighting. The lessons taught to me via traditional Martial Arts and fighting eventually sunk in and an awakening occurred regarding what MMA was and now is thus a new fan was born.
Once upon a time I was a top 10 ranked super heavyweight amateur kick boxer in North America for the WKA. I am a huge proponent and believer in the modern warrior spirit within the sport, the courage and strength of those who step in the ring / cage, and fan of those who fight with honor and respect for they're opponent.
Martial Arts changed my life for the better at a crucial crossroads and while I am no longer an active fighter I will always be both a fan and student.
Hi Tony, I've written something with an attempt at humor. Your opinions, feedback or tips on how to improve my humor style would be greatly appreciated.
