Cubs' Week In Review: Up, Down, and Back Again
May 3, 2008
I'm a 21 year old kid from downstate Illinois, a die-hard Cubs and Bears fan all my life, and now that I'm on my own and have time to pay attention, I'm getting more into the games than I ever could before--so, I figure I can put my opinions out there for other people to agree or disagree with as they will (I'm willing to bet there's going to be a fair bit of disagreement, but that's how it goes). In recent years, I've taken a decent interest in the NHL, but the strike sent my interest elsewhere.
And yes, my little girl is going to be a Cubs fan, like all her family before her. Anything less, well, would be unacceptable.
Hey Michael-
Yeah, the em-dash, while mandatory in BR style, has been a mystery to many. I myself am using a Mac, so can't be much help with a Windows keyboard, but if you happen to be an Apple man yourself, it's Alt+shift+dash. I'm sure a little googling of "em-dash" or a look inside your Microsoft Word could solve it for you if you're on a PC.
Keep up the good writing, and GO CUBBIES! Let's get some runs!
Justin
Thanks for the add.
Thanks for the note Michael and the kind words. I am a very realistic Cubs fan who sometimes gets his share of shots simply because I'm not the eternal optimist so many other Cubs fans seem to be.
That said, keep up the good work and let's make sure we comment on each other's work so that we generate outside feedback as well. I think sometimes people just don't want to be the first. Or, maybe something we say will spark a thought or reaction.
You know, positive or negative, all commetns are worthwhile because it shows we're getting to people and actually making a difference.
Cheers!
