About

A writer who enjoys following tennis and hopes to add something to the mix of tennis writing. I have a familiarity with European players as well as an interest in some lesser-known and up-and-coming ones.

Many thanks for your comments and reads, and for taking the time to check in here.
Best wishes.

Thanks for the link. Would look into that. On a side note, he has launched his youtube channel. Hoping that he puts some fun videos there.

Delpo's looking mighty fine both this tournament and in Basel. Seems to have cut down a lot on the unforced errors. Maybe he just needs a big win over top guys. If he clinches the WTF (which he has quite a good chance of), I think he'll improve in 2013.

Fine article, but just want to add my two cents. I hope you take it as constructive criticism for the good of tennis forum discussion.

You could have included some level of analysis on why he falls short. A surgery two years ago should not be a reason for a former grand slam champion. As a writer I think you could have opened more questions/discussions by including more specifics on his ground-strokes, serve and mental fortitude. Especially seeing as the article is intended to compare him to the big four. I've seen some slideshow kind of articles that would have been interesting here.

Maybe you can write a series of articles - one each about 4 players who can break into the big four. My picks would be Delpo and Raonic (and that only out of hope). It's at the same time good and bad for tennis that I can't seem to think of two more. Good because we have such a great top 4, and bad for the future.
