About David »

My name is Dave. I am currently a student at Penn State. I live in South Jersey and am a huge Philly sports fan. I bleed orange and black, Eagles green, and Penn State Blue and White, and the World Series was the happiest day of my life, as well as my 20th birthday! I am someone who loves all sports and will discuss anything from major league baseball to something as obscure as murderball (handicapped rugby).

As most of my friends know I am a little nuts when it comes to my passion for sports, and a couple months ago I figured that I should start channeling this through a blog. I love good sports discussion, and I realized that a blog would be great for that so I started a Philly sports blog called Broad Street Heroes. Just recently I became aware of Bleacher Report and I am pleased to say that it is a great tool for connecting with other fans like myself.

To visit my blog please visit: http://www.broadstreetheroes.com/

I am also on Twitter (unfortunately): http://twitter.com/BroadStreetHero

Cliff Lee makes his first start as a Phillie and retires the side in order in the first inning. In the top of the second Jayson Werth hit a solo shot to give the Phillies a 1-0 lead!
