Grew up in the Bay area of California, and began watching college football in my teens first as a USC fan, actually. Then I attended and graduated from Fresno State and Texas A&M, so college football has always been a huge part of my life. My wife graduated from Colorado, so, by default, I end up knowing a lot about CU football, as well.

Following football from so many parts of the country, in different conferences, I have really become more of a college football enthusiast on a national level. I enjoy SEC, MWC, ACC, Big Ten, Big East football and others, in addition to my favorite Big XII, WAC, and Pac 10 conference games.

I think college football is great how it is, with the best regular season in all of sports, and with no post season playoff. You heard me. I'm not ashamed. In fact, I think there are many other closet opponents to a college football playoff out there, too. I call us the silent majority. I believe it's time we start voicing our opinions, so that's another subject I plan to tackle, besides those on my favorite teams and conferences.

To me, recruiting is the beginning of the college football cycle, and the NFL draft is the end, and both are very fascinating, so I will often have insight and opinions on both those subjects.
