Benny is a TV writer living in Los Angeles... a city divided by many things, but united by one - The Lakers. I've bled purple and gold since birth. I stuck with them through the rough era of Cedric 'Garbage Man' Ceballos and Nick Van Smack and the glory of Showtime, Lake Show and of course, Black Mamba.

But it was the voice guiding me through most of those years that most inspires me today... Lakers longtime play-by-play announcer Chick Hearn and his 'words eye view.' My father may have taught me how to be a man, but Chick Hearn taught me about the game of basketball and what it means to love a team.
