Cowboy Nation: 2 Minute D and Some Jabs
10/21/2009
I was born on the same year that the Dallas Cowboys won their first Super Bowl. Since that season, I have not missed a game, including watching as an infant next to my father. I have been writing reports on the Cowboys since the first grade, which I call: Cowboy Nation. After 37 years, and 5 Super Bowls, my main passion has remained the Dallas Cowboys. I am the Jimmy Fallon character in "Fever Pitch", normal in the off season, abnormal during the NFL season. My column is for the True Cowboy Fan.
I have been following the Spurs since the mid 80's. A decade plus of disappointment was almost too much to bear, But the Spurs were my only coping mechanism for the Cowboy off-season. Since moving to San Antonio from Corpus Christi in 1995, my involvement grew. The '96 season was brutal, but it brought forth the San Antonio Savior, Tim Duncan. The rest is history. A perfect 4-4 in the NBA Finals, something LA or Boston can't say. Check out my column "March of the Spurs".
The rankings came out earlier this evening and every poll was drenched in bias.
Is this AOTD worthy? You decide.

How deep do you think the Cowboys are?
This article will test it.
I really want some Cowboys fans input.
I appreciate it.

Hey, could you let me know what you think of my newest article: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/232323-heavens-kevin-welcome-to-star-dome-durant

Just keep doing what your doing mate. If you produce quality articles they will be read and liked, and you will get fans. All you need is one to break through and then readers will be interested in what you produce in the future.
Try spacing your Spurs article out a bit better so that it's not so clumped together - makes it easy to read.
Thanks for the post on my profile page mate, feel free to become a fan if you'd like to keep up to date with my articles - it'd be much appreciated!
Regards from down under,
James.

David, I wrote this in honor of you: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/230288-even-girly-dallas-fans-are-ok-sometimes
I hope you can contemplate its very deep import for you.
Since I am above talking to Dallas fans, please keep our correspondence a secret.
Thank you.

Hey, anyone who remembers Landry is a good guy.
I love Gil B. on Sirius. I have tremendous respect for Landry and the Cowboys.
In fact, I thought it was awful how he kind of got discarded, but you might have a different take.
Man, I'm still pissed at you for stealing Haley. How friggin' stupid was that trade? I think it may have actually cost us one game against you, although it would not have stopped your run, had we had him, but we might have made it to one more Super Bowl.
That's kind of what's fun about what ifs, even though some people think it is stupid to talk like that. But, that's fun, ya know?
Good luck to you, too.
I actually give Romo a ton of credit. From the beginning, this guy shouldered the blame. No excuses. He was asked stupid questions 100 different ways, and the guy answered them all. He's got you know whats, and I just kid ya guys. He's a stud, for sure, and a really good person, despite Jessica. Poor guy. Hey, we all have those lapses in our youth, eh?
Again, good luck, and thanks for writing. One of my buddies is a Raiders fan. I actually also respect the Raiders, and all NFL teams. These men play hard. They also have to work their tails off.
Oh, and although I never wish for injuries, I really did want to break Aikman's throwing shoulder, and I just wanted to kidnap Emmitt and hide him in Osama's cave for like 12 years. We would have fed him good, and got him some gals and all, but the Niners would have won two or three more Super Bowls, and that would have made terrorism worth it.
Oh, Homeland Security: I'M ONLY KIDDING ABOUT THE "T" WORD.

I'll look forward to your stuff, too, David, even though you are a lowly, bottom-dwelling, scum-sucking Landry legacy buffoon.
Anyway, if I could have knocked TO's head off on that day, I would have, but I think he could kick my butt, but I would have delivered a hit of damage that he'd still remember.
That really, really pissed me off. I hate the Cowboys, but I respect the Cowboys, except for your girly man.
TO embarrassed the Niners franchise. You don't do that to world champions especially, even if they are lowly, bottom-dwelling, scum-sucking Landry legacy buffoons.

I hate the Cowboys, but I like your sense of humor and your stuff, so now, this 49er fan, is your fan.
By the way, speaking of girly 49ers, what about your girlyman quarterback?
You know, Mr. Choke?
Mr. Jessica Simpson. Oh, that's right that changed. He left her in a lurch.
Good luck in inaugerating the billion dollar loser dome.

DeleteI have just published a battle cry for (LSU) Tiger Nation. It's a must read for Tiger fans and it might be my best literary effort to date, I hope everyone will enjoy regardless of team or sport affiliation.
