Alex Smith Once Again Carrying the Hopes of San Francisco 49ers Fans
10/29/2009
I am a college student born and raised in Northern California. I've loved sports my entire life and for different reasons grew up loving random teams. I cried after the Cleveland Indians lost the 1995 World Series at the age of 5 and have been a fan of them ever since. At a very young age my favorite animal was a dolphin, so when I began to watch football my interest gravitated towards the Miami Dolphins. Somehow I also became a Miami Heat fan. I couldn't tell you why I did not like my home teams it is just who I grew up rooting for and now I would consider myself a die hard fan of all three.

The Yankees have put together an unbelievable streak of magical wins, but is Yankee Stadium and its short right field porch New York’s “magic wand?” Can sitting back and waiting for a solo HR really translate to October success?

Yankee fans rooting for the Red Sox? Has hell frozen over, or is there a rational thought process at the root of it all. Read why it is ok for you to root for Boston on select occasions without feeling like Benedict Arnold.

Cody Ransom has become a running joke in Yankee communities across the US in chat rooms, Twitter, blogs, message boards, etc.
His “bromance” with manager Joe Girardi has emphasized this fan disdain, and I have created a Top 10 list of unknown Ransom “facts” in this banter’s honor.
