Next to the the the Hi, Boris! at top of your personal page, there should be a highlighted word "write" in red. Select that and follow instructions for first submission to get established. It doesn't have to be anything fancy just a simple piece to show that you can articulately express an idea,

After, you are cleared by b/r to write regularly, you are free to choose any topic you want. They supply you with an editor and access to a database of pics. They format the articles so you don't even have to worry about where the pics go.

Even after you finish your piece and hit the Publish button, you can still go back in and edit if you find errors or things you aren't comfortable with. The report provides an editorial staff that will look over your piece and fix any typos or issues of grammar also,

One note of caution, treasure your freedom as an independent contributor, which is the level you are classified at when you fist start. The further up the ladder you move, the more restricted your topics become. Feel free to hit me with any questions. I really think you have a lot to offer the Brown community if you choose the way of the scribe.
