Having been raised in the Swamps of Gainesville and personally witnessing as a young girl Spurrier's rise to the Heisman made me a Gator for life. My little brother used to sell popcorn in the stands and Mom at 83 still calls G'ville home today. When Spurrier was coaching at Florida is just seemed like a natural progression and our mother is his biggest fan. We will always follow him with incredible admiration and ironically, Mom was a Gamecock too. Just another interesting piece of our SEC puzzle.
Living on the west coast for 19 years, I have watched with keen interest Urban Meyer's success and now, the Gator's superman, Tebow, a great young man and player! I will always love the Gators!
Over the past four years my Gator chomps and hullabaloo have been somewhat quieted while my super nephew, UGA's Joe Cox has been patiently waiting in the wings for his opportunity to do what he does best...play football! I am not a sports writer, only the infamous Aunt Rachel, but I predict Joe will blow everyone away with his leadership and brain making plays...a true field general and a super guy who I have no doubt has lit the fire in the hearts of his Dawgs to lead them down the path of SEC glory! We are so proud of Joe...GO Dawgs!!!
