About Dan »

A hopelessly optimistic, yet skeptical, hardcore fan of all things Cleveland; born and raised in the city of sports heartbreak. Every year, I try to find some kind of evidence and convince myself that Cleveland is on the verge of something great. I go into each season full of either wild expectations or nightmarish visions of the next horrible Cleveland sports meltdown. I will cry when one of my teams finally wins a major championship.

Aside from the Indians, Cavaliers, and Browns, I'm a big fan of college football in general. Ohio State and Notre Dame are my teams, but lately I've developed a man crush on Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing, so I'll throw the Jayhawks in there as well.

I love watching college lacrosse, but I loathe Major League Lacrosse; absolutely no defense and a two-point shot line? Please.

I graduated from the University of Dayton in 2009, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations and a minor in political science. While attending UD, I was a member of the men's lacrosse team for two seasons (2007-'09). Those two years gave me my most memorable and exciting athletic experiences I'll ever have.

Thanks to BR, I recently interviewed Knicks legend Earl Monroe. Here is what he had to say on a variety of topics, including the current state of the Knicks!

Good points all around. Cleveland was also missing Delonte West last night (and tonight), who's obviously a huge part of their puzzle. Hopefully, Parker and/or Moon can lock up Lewis the next time the Cavs and Magic meet. Parker's overall performance has been tepid so far in Cleveland, but he's really struggled on defense (wasn't that one of the bigger selling points when the Cavs went after him?). Moon has been better on D, but galaxies (sorry for the pun; it's too easy with that name) away on offense. On a side note, how about Varejao getting absolutely beasted by D-Wade tonight? Dunk of the year contender for sure; absolutely embarrassing on Varejao's end.

i know last night was a big win but this was an Orlando team missing Rashard Lewis who was the guy Howard would kick it out to on double teams, the guy Delonte and Gibson were helplessly chasing sround hoping he misses. Orlando like Cleveland is still far from a finished proaduct as they have some new comers and are still getting used to each other, also this was an Orlando team on a back to back while Cleveland was on 4 days rest i believe, these teams will have more chances against each other, i will stand by my guns and say Orlando will be the better team.

Yeah Mo Williams looked great but he has to do it more consistently. i'm sorry, but i'm still not sold on Williams as a reliable number 2 option on a championship team. i'm just excited for tonight. i want to see LeBron and Wade go head to head, should be great.

Please edit this column, Dan. Thanks. I figure you would like it too. Also, could you feature this title "Time for D'Antoni to Go Away" as the main title for this site rather than say End the Mike D'Antoni Era.

Thanks! Also, I appreciate you editing my Coughlin piece along with the nice constructive comments.

Tonight, I will write a column on the Mets.

Saturday, I will talk about the Jets.

Sunday, I will write a columns on Jaguars/Jets game.

As a Knicks Featured Columnist, I will be making periodical attempts to give fans an inside look at the different aspects of Knicks games. Take a look at what I came up with when Lebron James came to visit.
