Alan's Bio

I'm very simple: I love to write, and I love hockey more than anything in the world. My world and my life revolves around hockey. My work revolves around what time the game is on TV, and my chores revolve around the same thing. Hockey is a priority. That's it.

  1. No worries....it's just part of that whole 'community leader' thing haha.

  2. Hey Alan,

I'd just like to say that I really appreciate all of the effort you've been putting into Bleacher Report since coming here! 57 Articles in 26 days is a pretty big accomplishment.

It's been brought to my attention though, that the interview with Gary Bettman is taken from NHL.com. I'm not sure if it's true or not as I haven't read the 'original', but for future reference always cite any article you take from another site. If you don't, then it can be classified as plagarism, or stealing, and then you can get into a whole heap of trouble, and I'd prefer to keep you writing instead of getting into legal battles with the NHL!

It's just something to watch for Alan. IF you're ever in doubt on something too, then cite it anyways—better safe than sorry eh?

Keep up the good, expansive coverage!

  3. The Battle of Pennsylvania is set to begin! GO FLYERS!!!!!!!! (I can't belive I just said that...)

  4. Thanks. I'm actually writing a followup article to that right now. After getting blasted for not being objective, gotta come up with an answer soon...

  5. You're a great writer kid! Anyone who brings out the worst in NHL officiating gets my attention.

  6. Thank you for the pick of the day vote!!

  7. That also means a lot to me, so we're even! haha

As far as writing here goes, it looks like you've got a lot of stuff figured out (Mr. Ten articles in two days), but if you've got any questions, the email is on my profile, or you can just leave me a message on my bulletin board.

I may be a little delayed in getting back to you, as the next few days are hellacious (School exams and such).

    Have a good one.

  8. I see you've met Ken hahah...good stuff. Keep up the strong, passionate work Alan.

  9. thats sorta the thing i did when i started writing regarding hockey on BR, haven't quit since. Your drive and hard work will be rewarded. In a matter of a week or so i have been asked about being an Intern and will soon be a Community Leader once that position is added to the Anaheim Ducks section. Keep up the great writing and if you need any help or anything let me know. BR is all about passion...heck i'm probably gonna change my major because of my love for writing hockey.

  10. BTW welcome to Bleacher Report, writing 2 articles in the first hours on BR is quite a feat.

  11. Thanks for the vote. Nice Articles man, keep up the good work.
