Alan's Bio

I'm very simple: I love to write, and I love hockey more than anything in the world. My world and my life revolves around hockey. My work revolves around what time the game is on TV, and my chores revolve around the same thing. Hockey is a priority. That's it. I'm also a theater geek, which somehow manages to mix with hockey..but hockey is still a priority.

I will be attending Muhlenberg College starting this coming August. I will be majoring in psychology and minoring in business. This is to answer all questions about whether or not I want to go into journalism. No I don't, but that doesn't mean I won't take some journalism classes in college.

My dream is to go into hockey management, and one can easily see why through all of my hockey articles.

I like to think of myself as a hockey fan before a Flyers' fan. Yes, it would be my dream to see the Flyers' win the Stanley Cup, but I'm just as happy watching any other team do it. I love having rivalries with other teams, but that is not what my writing is about. When I write and comment, I like to think I'm giving my honest opinion, and not ranting like an unknowledgeable fan. If you disagree, please let me know immediately, because that is not what this site is about.

I am the community leader for the Philadelphia Flyers' page on Bleacher Report, and enjoy writing more than anything else. Unlike others, I will take whatever you have to say, no matter how inappropriate. You can't get me off the site by yelling at me and cursing me off, so there's no bother trying.

PS- The first ten people to tell me what this sentence says get a prize!

If you have any questions about anything or anyone on this site, or if you just want to talk hockey, please feel free to message me on BR, Facebook, through e-mail at ALN424@aol.com or through AIM at ALN424.

Thank you to everyone for continuing to read my articles, and good luck with your own writing!

i just wanted to apologize to you for writing that article. i didnt agree with some of the stuff you said in your article, so i whent and wrote on contrary to you. and i believe that that was fine. but understand i was not trying to attack you personallly, its just in the heat of the moment i get stupid and make personal attacks, and that was wrong. i apologize for making personal statements about you, and i do not despise you or anything. hopefully you will accept, or it is war...just kidding. but i hope you can forgive me, if you cant i understand also.

  12. Hey Alan,

So I just created a link in the footer menu on the front page so that articles like yours/Greg's can be displayed more prominently.

That said, it would be great if such pieces could ONLY be tagged with "Bleacher Report" and not with other sports/teams. Don't forget that millions of people come to Bleacher Report every month who don't already know the score, and thus if they're looking to find hockey articles and instead they read a piece about the internal Community they might decide to leave as they simply won't understand.

Let me know if you have questions about this. As always, thank you for all of your efforts to improve our Community!
