Thanks for reading and commenting on my article, David. First of all, I have read that article before I wrote this last one and I was one of the commentators at that site. Second, emotions DO play a role in business decisions. "It's my dream to own an NHL franchise," says Balsillie. "Moving Phoenix is a challenge to my leadership," says Bettman. If it were a strict business decision, it would be a no-brainer to award Balsillie the team because his bid is better than the other two by a country mile, it would prevent lawsuits by the creditors, it would extricate the NHL from a city that has never made a profit during its entire existence and lost $60 million last year.and place a team in a city where it has been speculated that it would be the third most valuable in the NHL behind Toronto and the New York Rangers.
