Michoel's Bio

Hey, this is Michoel.

Eagles season is finally here, and there are a lot of thoughts going through my head! Not all of them are good, but hey, what can you expect from a Negadelphian? I'll probably get some of my rantings down on paper, while others better stay locked up.

Anyway, seeing as you've been reading this, I hope you enjoy my articles!

  1. Hey man, I was wondering if you want to give me your thoughts on this week's game.

  2. Hey, you'll find this interesting. I worked for the Eagles last year as an usher—dream job--and I remember the Seattle game vividly because during Westbrook's punt return, the crowd was louder than I have ever heard the crowd in my entire life. Now, I had never been to an Eagles game (except for one in 1999) before I took the job, so I don't have experience of the crowd noise before, but this roar was unbelievable. I buy every Eagles Game Highlights off iTunes and if you do so, which you still can from this game, you will clearly hear the crowd during Westbrook's return. It's absolutely unbelievable. And the punt return took so long, at least 12 or 13 seconds, so the crowd just got louder and louder. I then heard more F-words than I have ever heard in my entire life when Feeley threw his third interception to Lofa to end the game. Total high to total low in about a minute.

  3. Hey bud,

In terms of your response article, my intention was that you would write it the same as any other article. If it's short, it's short. As for a title, name it whatever you want, but just make sure you make some kind of reference to the fact that it's part of the contest.

Can't wait to read your article!

  4. No doubt. Maybe I'll see what abuse I can stir up now ;-)

  5. Oh yeah, no doubt Bonds was using something. More importantly he was a huge dick if the stories about him are to be believed (and there are too many to doubt). I think this is the reason most people attack him for the substance use. Come on, the ENTIRE league is on that stuff.

I know a couple guys who have been in the league for several years. One is married and trying to have a kid, but can't do so during the year b/c of "all the crap" he's on. The other has openly admitted that he and teammates STILL use HGH b/c it's too hard to detect even with a blood test.

So I say Barry was chemically enhanced but so were the pitchers and defenders. Means he was the best of this generation. It also means you can't compare his numbers to another generations realistically, but I think that's always the case - Babe Ruth's numbers against 8 all-white teams against Mays' or Aaron's? The game just changes too drastically. I'm not saying the debate isn't fun, I'm just saying we can never know.

That said, I will NEVER argue people should like or respect Bonds. He's made his bed from all accounts so it's the public's right to let him sleep in it. But the dude was the ONLY reason my boys were one of the best teams from '93 to 2003; as a Giants fan, I've gotta love the guy.

  6. Wow man, you have the patience of an friggin' saint. I can't believe you kept at it with James. I also can't believe you got through to him. Don't know why he's so agitated at me when below he essentially agrees/compliments your summary of my argument.

Incidentally, you did a stellar job of cutting through all my flowery language (residue from misguided days spent in AP English) and hitting the strongest facts.

My hat is off to you sir.

Although the shot at Barry cuts me to my orange and black soul - forget all this football nonsense, you want to get me really excited? Find me a Bums' fan ;-)

  7. Burrell looked like he was moving okay. He got under a couple fly balls without incident, and took a couple big whacks without connecting. I thought I might have seen him wince on one, but it didn't look bad. They pulled him in the 7th for Bruntlett.

  8. Oh, and on the Cowgirls thing. That is what the haters call them. Call em the Cowpokes, that is what dallas calls em for fun

  9. Okay that is true but remember Witten is only really now starting to get popular and miles austin and Pratrick Crayton are there too. Eagles are going to be tough this year i'll give you that. I was just saying that this guy went over the line targeting a guy as overrated when he has proven his abilities time and time again.

Playoff messups happen. its not his fault Crayton dropped a sure touchdown catch or that Jacques Reeves couldn't cover Toomer in that 53 second disaster at the end of the half. I'm sick of people saying that was his fault. I do think Romo is overrated by some, but not that much.

  10. There is a real argument. Thank you. But what romo lacks in speed he makes up for in mind. The team has made errors but they still beat the Eagles (A team that should have won the Super Bowl)

If you argue the receiver angle then take Montana, Rice, Unitas, Staubach, McNabb, and Favre out cause they all had great receivers.

Romo's offense is equally balanced in run as well. Barber and Jones scored 3 tds compared to romo's one in the Browns game. Next Peyton Manning and Tom Brady have excellent offensive lines and Brady was drafted in the 6th round if we want to talk natural skill. Quarterbacks are measured in brainpower and Romo has it.

Loved your argument. solid and backed up. But Romo is not the most overrated player. Matt Ryan is. a 72 million dollar contract as a rookie?

  11. Good question. Absolutely it does.

  12. No, I'm saying that if your case is the same as that other guy's case, then you are wasting computer space. If you bring me a real case that doesn't just include his playoff errors, i'm all ears. I know his playoff errors

  13. hey man, i posted your lasted article to my site...linked your bleacher profile...good stuff!

  14. Hey man, thanks for the edit on changing the title of my column on Tony Romo. Don't know if that's what deserves credit of the modest increase in hits from my previous columns, but I'm open to the possibility. Thanks.

  15. Hey Michoel, as a fellow birds fan I thought you would help me out and check out my latest article on the top 10 NFL rookies. Let me know what you think.
