Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Diego Maradona, Michael Jordan, Roger Federer, Boris Becker, Kobe Bryant, Wasim Akram, Lebron James, Shahid Afridi, Sachin Tendulkar

  • Favorite Sports Teams

The MJ-era Chicago Bulls for life! Others would include the LA Lakers, the Argentina national football team, and the Pakistan and Indian cricket teams

  • Favorite Coaches

Phil Jackson, Franz Beckenbauer, Pat Riley, Jose Mourhino, Larry Brown

  • All-Time Sports Moment

    1. 1998 NBA Finals Game 6 and many more from Jordan and the Bulls 2. The Federer-Nadal 2008 Wimbledon final - in my experience, the greatest match ever. 3. Sachin Tendulkar's unbelievable, corruscating 98 vs Pakistan, 2003 World Cup Quarterfinals. 3. Wasim Akram's magical over to Rahul Dravid, 1999 Test match, plus Shane Warne's many, many overs. 4. Some school basketball games and finals that will always stick in memory.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

GBBS vs St.Xavier's basketball final, Game 3 - GBBS won via Birendra Rai's buzzer-beating 3! It was awesome being there, and hearing the ball splash through the net - surreal!

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    1. Bulls' 72-10 1995-96 season 2. LA Lakers' 33-game win streak in the early 1970s 3. Roger Federer's grand slam consistency and myriad other records!

  • Ruth or Mays?

    Can't say

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Can't say

  • Jordan or Russell?

Both were awesome and unique - won't choose one over the other, not fair.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    Can't say

  • Pele or Maradona?

Maradona - He often WAS the team, unlike Pele who often had other All-Star-calibre teammates - a most easily forgotten fact. Check out Pele's 1958, 1962, and 1970 World Cup-winning teams and compare them with Maradona's 1982, 1986 (when they won) and 1990 teams - who else, besides Maradona, would walk in a World XI?

  • Federer or Sampras?

Loved them both, but in terms of sheer consistency, artistry, and perfection, Roger edges Pete slightly. Would probably rate them 1A and 1B.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Nicklaus was before my time so wouldn't be proper to comment, but all signs do point out that Nicklaus was ahead of his time, so he gets the nod, I guess.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    Can't say

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Schumacher's dead ruthless and intense, Senna was a magician, beautifully ruthless and yet so pristine. Unlike Schumacher, Senna had a serious rival in Alain Prost, whereas there's hardly anyone who actually competed with Schumacher in his prime, though Kimi Raikonnen did threaten briefly.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

    Can't say

    Hey Pradesh,

I've just posted a story about the global evolution of tennis and the increasing popularity of the sport. I've put a lot of time and effort into it, and I'd be really grateful to get any feedback you have.

If you get a chance to check it out, that would be great.
