    I appreciate you coming to my board, you have NO idea how much of a headache those kids gave me yesterday...

    You make some excellent point, and I had not broken down their lineup in that sort of way. It actually makes a lot of sense what you're saying, and especially in this FA market/economy, you might be right that Griffey was the best option as a LH bat.

    I guess I just feel that (as much as I love Ken) the team needs to be more focused on developing for the future, and I see Griffey as just being along for the ride. Although he did crack 19 bombs last season, can we expect him to do that again? I sure hope he can, but I have my doubts because of how slow his hands looked and how fragile his legs have become.

    But the way you have presented the facts, I really can't argue! They need a lefty with at least decent power, and it looks as if Ken might be the best/cheapest option.
