About

William is a sophomore at Clemson University and a lifelong Tiger fan. He is also a fan of the Colts, Packers, Reds, Pacers, and Hoosiers, since his dad is from Indianapolis.

William has lived in the upstate of South Carolina for the entirety of his existence and loves it there. He is currently a resident of Central, SC, about 10 minutes away from Clemson's campus. He has a younger brother and two younger sisters, as well as a supportive and loving extended family.

William enjoys sharing his infinite sports knowledge with whoever will listen and wants to be a sports broadcaster. He lives for college football season and feels especially knowledgeable about all things football. He also has some insight on baseball and basketball, plus whatever else someone happens to ask him about.

William is a Christian who loves the Lord and wants to glorify Him with his columns. God Bless!

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Reggie Miller, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Ken Griffey, Jr., Brandon Phillips, Terrence Oglesby, James Davis, D.J. White, Pete Rose, Tony Perez, Hank Aaron, Steve Kerr, Sean Singletary, and Jay Bruce, just to name a few

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Colts, Packers, Reds, Pacers, Hoosiers, and of course, the CLEMSON TIGERS

  • All Time Sports Moment

The Colts winning Super Bowl XLI

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

November 18, 2000-Rod Gardner's 60 yard catch against South Carolina to set up the winning field goal

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    Joe Dimaggio's 56-game hitting streak

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth--he paved the way for Mays. While Mays was great, Ruth was uncommonly great, and his stats dwarfed everyone else in his era.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana has the rings, but Unitas was a better passer.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Russell was great, but nobody changed the game like Jordan.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Gretzky is "The Great One". Enough said.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Don't really care about soccer much, but Pele is the father of soccer, so I guess it's him.

  • Federer or Sampras?

Sampras had a more impressive resume over a longer period of time, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's Federer after his career is over.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Nicklaus was incredibly successful despite competing with Palmer. Tiger benefits from today's technology and has virtually no competition.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    Petty

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    Schumacher

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

ACC--I go to Clemson, grew up in Clemson, and think that the competition in the ACC is better than any conference overall, in all sports.

Good to have you back writing, you are one of my favorites in college football.

Great news about hiring Dabo Swinney, he is well-liked all over and respected throughout the South. As a Palmetto observer I am excited for the first time since 1989 about Clemson football as they've gone back to the "Alabama–Coaching Well" that has served them in the past and am glad the experiment with the Arkansas–Tennessee–West Virginia coaches over the past 18 years is finished.

If you're still near the train station this weekend you ought to drive over to the valley and see Jimmy Byrnes' Junior halfback play. He is sensational.

Please keep us posted on all the Clemson goings on with the pre-Gator Bowl buildup.

Will- Congrats on the win in the contest...nicely done. As soon as I get out week two's contest picks, you get the mandatory first paragraph kisses from me. Sorry about Clemson...man, sometimes that can really wake-up a team. (Michigan rings a bell last year)

Way to go, you were great!

William, thanks for the great effort in the contest with Lisa. She states on her Top 25 comments that you beat her in the picks last week. I believe we all enjoyed following how the games you two picked went this past weekend. You are probably down because of the Tigers loss to Alabama but, it is a long season and there is no doubt Clemson will go bowling. So, chin up, you did a great job on the picks, and keep up the fine writing you've provided the Bleacher report.
