About

My name is Adam VanOrmer. I was born in October of 1973, so as I write this I am 37 years old. But that number seems to go up every year...right about the same time.

I have been a Programmer/Analyst by profession since 1998. Prior to that I spent 4 years as an Electronics Technician in the U.S. Navy, which I joined right out of High School.

I am an intrigued and avid spectator of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), and have intently followed the sport since it's inception here in the U.S. in the early '90s, and have even competed at an amateur level. But, I'll be 40 soon and since my last name isn't Couture it's safe to say that I'll have to be content as a writer and spectator.

    I have two favorite sports moment memories. NUMBER 1: Super Bowl XXIII - Down by three points with three minutes left in the game, Joe Montana marches the Niners 92 yards and caps off the drive with a game-winning TD pass to John Taylor with just 34 ticks left on the clock. NUMBER 2: UFC 65, November of 2006. Georges St. Pierre definatively thumps and outclasses Matt Hughes in their rematch. The win fulfills his dream, making him the Welterweight Champion of the world.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

    SF 49ers vs. Philadephia Eagles in Philadephia when I was 15 years old. My step-father (a rabid Eagles fan) took me to the game as a birthday gift. Being an extremely devoted 49ers fan since the age of 7, I'm decked out in red, surrounded in a sea of green. The Niners won.

    Hey Adam! I dont like pagination either. I think it doesnt compliment the flow of an article. In the box where you write/paste your article, there are 3 options right underneath it: no pagination, auto pagination, and manual pagination. All you have to do is select the no pagination option.
    Once its already published, you could also click to view your article, and select the "edit article" option to make any changes if need be. Hope this helps.
