Hi again Joel, hate to bother you but just had a quick question, which is probably obvious:

if teams are over the salary cap limit, can they receive more salary than they are trading out? can it actually be permitted and they are forced to pay luxury tax? or must they traded out exactly what they receive?

NBA Live 96! I remember that on PC haha. I'm trying to get accepted by b/r at the moment (third time lucky hopefully!), and then with any luck move on to the professional level. If everything goes to plan, maybe I'll see you out there one day haha.

Love your work Joel, you're probably the only writer on b/r who proposes trades that actually make sense for both sides. Keep up the good work!

Hey talk all the trash you want about Charlotte you baby face looking *$#&#. Truth is the Panthers have Newton and the Bobcats have Kemba......You seem like a Carolina hater like most people in the nation I guess because where your from shouldn't even be a state to begin with.....Yes Minnesota is just so much better than the Bobcats seeing how the Bobcats got rid of bad contracts on aging players, got young talent to develop, has been in the playoffs or playoff race for 3 years STRAIGHT never really has had a bad season with overall record, and has been selling more and more tickets for 3 straight years. The only thing you can really trash talk about them and it be the truth is their TV deal which is HORRIBLE but to say they lack fans in a area (CAROLINAS) that has 19 million people is STUPID. You need to worry about Minnesota land of 400,000 and a lot of lakes and NOTHINGNESS.

hey Doc. quick question. i proposed a scenario in a comment on an article earlier and was wondering if it would work, and it seems like if anyone knows the answer you would. could the Celtics trade Rasheed Wallace to the Heat for Michael Beasley and then Wallace retires and the Heat have more cap space to play with?
