Troy Nelson is the former editor-in-chief of Guitar One magazine and the author of Guitar Aerobics, an instructional book that promotes the development, maintenance, and advancement of guitar technique. After a decade in the music-publishing business, Nelson, a former athlete, decided to pursue his other passion, football. Over the past four years, Nelson has interned with the New York Jets (NewYorkJets.com), the All American Football League (player personnel and football operations), and NFL Scouting Services, where he co-authored player profiles and scouting reports for the NFL league office and various teams. Nelson holds an associate’s degree in occupational music from Milwaukee Area Technical College and recently graduated with honors from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in sport management.
