Favorite Sports Teams
Alabama Crimson Tide, Atlanta Braves (I was a fan when they sucked before the '90s) First Braves game I went to, I saw Bob Gibson pitch to Hank Aaron. I told my son this and he didn't know or care who either of them were. Sharing sports moments like these are what held my relationship with my father together, even during the times when we disagreed on everything else and barely spoke to each other. Now that we're both much older and he doesn't have but a few more years, sports is still our common bond and it always will be.

Favorite Coaches
Bear Bryant, Vince Lombardi, John Wooden....used to like Don Shula before he trashed Saban
-
All-Time Sports Moment
Mike Garrett of the Baltimore Colts "cold cocks" and lays out a drunk fan running around the field on national television.
-
Most Memorable Game Attended
1)Bama-Miami Sugar Bowl '92....George Teague rips the ball out of Lamar Odum's hands for a pick 2)Braves vs Cardinals 1969-----Aaron got a double off Bob Gibson
-
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
Favre's consecutive NFL starts......will never be broken, and he's hell bent on making sure of it even if it costs him his dignity and integrity. Jim Brown needs to give Brett a call and tell him what's what if it isn't already too late.

Ruth or Mays?
NOBODY, no matter what happens in the future, will ever come close to Babe Ruth as a cultural icon or baseball player. Ruth was the best pitcher in baseball as well as the best hitter. No steroids for Ruth; before the game, he got jacked up on hot dogs and beer. During WWII, the Japanese use to yell "Fuck Babe Ruth" to piss off American soldiers. There's not a professional athlete alive today that an enemy could name who would piss off American soldiers.

Unitas or Montana?
Unitas. Johnny U played football when it was a game for tough SOB's. Before the super bowl, there was the NFL championship, and in the title game Unitas got his front teeth knocked out and blood was flowing from his mouth. He reached down, grabbed a chunk of grass and dirt, plugged up the hole in his gums, and said "now let's go beat these SOB's"

Jordan or Russell?
Jordan

Gretzky or Orr?
I'm from the South. Ice is what you put in either bourbon or tea.
-
Pele or Maradona?
I lived in Europe for eight years, and as much as I tried to get into the game, I just couldn't. The only thing I appreciate about soccer (futbol) is that many of their fans rival (and often top) those of the SEC, especially the British. Some of these guys get loaded and then go to the game just to beat the shit out of the other team's fans. As an SEC fan, you gotta respect that kind of loyalty.
-
Federer or Sampras?
I stopped watching men's tennis after McEnroe, Connors, and Nastase retired. I sometimes watch women's tennis because the competition is better, but mostly because they look hot when they get all sweaty in those short skirts. At least I'm honest about it, and if you asked any other guy he would say the same thing. To be honest, I really don't give a flying fuck about professional tennis anymore, but I'll flip the dial over for a few minutes if a couple of hot sweaty chicks are doing an orgasmic scream when they serve, but even that gets boring after about 10 minutes.
-
Tiger or Nicklaus?
Neither. Bobby Jones was the best golfer of all time.
-
Petty or Earnhardt?
I lost interest after Davey Allison died. When they let Toyota in and started jacking up prices, I lost interest. My favorite driver now is Ricky Bobby, and if Jimmy Spencer ever started racing (wrecking everyone on the track) I could possibly get interested again. Other than that, NASCAR is just a bunch of pretty boys who have no respect for the sport's history and tradition.
-
Schumacher or Senna?
Formula 1 takes skill, but I still see it as souped up go-carts for the champagne crowd.

ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?
SEC FOOTBALL......No other sport anywhere even comes close for me. I am certainly biased because I grew up in the middle of it, and its a part of the culture I grew up in.
